Meet Dr Bibi

I founded Sanctree because I believe that good therapy starts with feeling truly heard. After nearly 20 years working across NHS mental health services, I’ve sat with people carrying all kinds of pain — trauma, loss, burnout, confusion about who they are — and I’ve seen how much difference the right support at the right time can make.

I hold a Research Doctorate in Psychological Trauma and a Clinical Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, and am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP) and EMDR Practitioner (EMDR UK). Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings — from older adults and bereavement services to domestic violence support — and I bring that breadth of experience to every person I work with.

My approach is led by you. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies — including CBT, EMDR, Person-Centred Counselling, Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — but what matters most to me is that whatever we do together feels right for you, not just clinically appropriate.

I also hold specialist training in ADHD and Autism assessment and take a neuroaffirming approach in everything I do.

Outside of client work, I supervise other clinicians and lecture in higher education — work that keeps me reflective and connected to the broader field.
